Director of Communications

Richa Bansal is the Director of Communications at the Partnership for Economic Policy. She has nearly 18 years of combined work experience in development communications and journalism.
Prior to joining PEP, she headed communications at the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy and the Centre for Policy Research, both leading think tanks in Delhi, India, for nearly a decade. She set up the communications function and department at both organisations ensuring regular outreach and uptake of the research through accessible products like blogs, videos, podcasts, annual reports, an active social media presence, media outreach, and through conceptualizing engaging conversations.
She has also worked in communications roles in gender based organizations both in India and the United Kingdom, including CAMFED, UK, Engineers Without Borders, UK, International Center for Research on Women (regional office in Delhi) and the Population Foundation of India.
Starting her career as a journalist, Richa shifted to the development sector after four years of working as a ground reporter. She has an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, UK, a master’s degree in mass communication and an undergraduate degree in English literature.
