Dr. Prudence Magejo holds a PhD and MA in Economics from University College Dublin and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe. She is an Associate Professor and Head of the Economics Division at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Her research focuses on labor and development economics, with an emphasis on inequality, poverty, and gender issues in African economies. Dr. Magejo is a resource person for the African Economic Research Consortium and has published in leading journals such as World Development and Journal of African Economies.
