Pabatso Matsoso is a Lesotho-born economist with a strong background in micro and macroeconomics, policy analysis and economic planning, as well as applied econometrics. She holds a Master of Science in Economics from the National University of Lesotho, where she completed her dissertation on regional banking integration under the prestigious African Economic Research Consortium scholarship. Passionate about data-driven decision making, Pabatso has worked across various sectors including healthcare and development, contributing to large-scale evaluations and perfrormance monitoring efforts throughout the country. Her current research focus centers on the impact of early childhood education on early learning outcomes in Lesotho, with the goal of informing evidence-based policy and long term investments in human capital. Drawing from her experience in fieldwork and and quantittative analysis, she is committed to producing producing research that is both academically rigorous and deeply rooted in the lived realities of Basotho communities. Pabatso's work reflects a deep commitment to social equity and the belief that transformative education policy begins with understanding-and investing in- the earliest years of a child's life.
