Head of Technical Cooperation at IIEP-UNESCO

Dr. Oswald Koussihouèdé has been Head of Technical Cooperation at IIEP-UNESCO Dakar since September 2024, and Senior Education Policy Analyst and Planner since July 2024. From January 2017 to June 2024, he served as an Education Policy Analyst at IIEP-UNESCO Dakar, where he contributed to training, technical cooperation programs, and research and development.
Before joining IIEP-UNESCO, Dr. Koussihouèdé worked with the Programme d'Analyse des Systèmes Éducatifs de la CONFEMEN (PASEC) between 2010 and 2016, and with the World Bank office in Dakar from 2008 to 2010, holding coordination and technical advisory roles in both institutions.
He holds a PhD in Economics, specializing in causal inference, from the Université Gaston Berger de Saint-Louis (Senegal); a Master’s in Public Economics and Applied Statistics from the Institut de Recherche Empirique en Économie Politique d'Abomey-Calavi (Benin); and a Bachelor’s in Statistics from the École Nationale d'Économie Appliquée et de Management de Cotonou (Benin).
Dr. Koussihouèdé is the author and co-author of numerous analytical works and research articles published in peer-reviewed journals.
