Learn about Advanced Computable General Equilibrium Modelling through PEP’s newest online learning course videos, available for free on YouTube.
The content of this course was developed by international PEP-affiliated experts and coordinated by Martin Henseler.
This course was designed to serve as a complement to the introductory course offered in the PEP Graduate microprogram in development economics.
This course covers key topics, including how to construct and update a Social Accounting Matrix and how to use CGE-microsimulation modelling for distributive and poverty analysis.
Through narrated presentations, these learning capsules also outline how to use CGE Models for Gender-aware Economic Analysis. They present how to model environmental aspects, the impact of climate change and carbon pricing and how to develop financial CGE models.
The course also includes two learning capsules introducing energy economics and environmental policies from the macroeconomic perspective.
