Collaboration with SDG Academy ensures our online course on practical approaches to integrating gender equality and inclusion into high quality research remains available and free to access. The Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) online training course that PEP developed in collaboration with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) has a new home thanks to the SDG Academy.
This self-paced, bilingual course (offered in both English and French) is designed to strengthen researchers' capabilities to embed GEI principles in their research. Without GEI principles, research is likely to be gender-blind and exclude vulnerable groups.
Across its 17 modules, the course emphasises the African experience, drawing on the expertise of primarily Southern-based experts, and focuses on GEI-related concepts, analytical frameworks, methodologies, data gaps, and strategies for inclusion.
Junior and senior researchers, graduate students, university academics, research and civil society organisations, government and private sector research departments, and staff of research funders and multilateral agencies can all benefit from the course.
PEP is excited that the course will remain available and free through the SDG Academy. An initiative of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, the SDG Academy creates and curates free, high-quality open educational resources on sustainable development for learners around the world.
