PEP and IDRC invite researchers to partake in our Needs Assessment Survey to help inform the development of our forthcoming Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) online training.PEP, in collaboration with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), is developing a Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) online training course. This self-paced, bilingual course (offered in both English and French) is designed to fortify researchers' capabilities to embed GEI principles in their studies. It will delve into the African experience, harnessing insights from primarily Southern-based experts. Through this course, researchers will be equipped to address GEI nuances in their studies, ensuring a comprehensive perspective.
Research projects can unintentionally overlook gender and inclusivity aspects, leading to incomplete or skewed results. Our training course is a proactive step to rectify this, spanning various IDRC research areas like Climate Action, Global Health, and more. The course encompasses 17 modules. It begins with a foundational Core GEI program, followed by ten specialized modules.
We're in the process of refining this course and want it to resonate with the actual needs of the research community. As such, we've launched a needs assessment survey to gather your insights.
We would like to understand your current grasp of GEI principles and any challenges you've faced. Your feedback will be instrumental in helping us to shape this course.
