Kibrom, an Ethiopian citizen, is a Country Program Leader and Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). He holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Copenhagen.  He is a development and agricultural economist with research interests covering rural development, agricultural transformation, urbanization, food and nutrition security, and behavioral economics. Most of Kibrom’s research involves impact evaluation and other econometric methods.  He possesses strong quantitative and microeconometric skills that can be applied to wide spectrum of economic problems. He has published several papers in decent field and general interest journals, including Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Agricultural Economics, Journal of Agricultural Economics, Journal of Development Studies, Scandinavian Journal of Economics, Economics Letters, World Bank Economic Review as well as other field journals.
