Dr. Halefom Yigzaw Nigus is a Research Fellow at the Policy Studies Institute (PSI) in Ethiopia and a Research Collaborator at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). He holds a PhD in Economics from Maastricht University, Netherlands, specializing in markets and human behavior through field experiments. His research interests include development economics, behavioral economics, and impact evaluations, with a focus on Ethiopia and the broader African context. Dr. Nigus has contributed extensively to peer-reviewed publications, policy research, and teaching, bringing critical insights into development and policy challenges in emerging economies.
