Poverty Monitoring, Measurement and Analysis

Designing and applying concepts, techniques, and tools to measure and analyze development issues at the microeconomic level in a multidimensional setting. This program combines microeconomic analytical tools to evaluate the impact of policies and shocks on individual and household well-being, and to monitor, measure and analyze poverty and inequality, primarily using household survey data.

Research activities supported under this program have led to PEP-affiliated experts developing innovative software tools for poverty and distributive analysis: DAD and DASP (for Stata). These tools are available for public access via the PEP website.
