Proposed analysis interesting but perhaps too ambitious.

One way to narrow down your question, and make its gender analytical lens stronger, could be to focus on alternative approaches to improve women farmers’ productivity. This could be linked to food production and availability. In other words, what type of policy interventions can best reduce gender gaps in agricultural productivity and, by doing so, improving food security?

It would be useful to first thoroughly review existing literature, for example Oseni et al 2015 in Agricultural Economics special issue on gender and agriculture in SSA, as well as produce a battery of detailed gender statistics, to help you in better formulating your policy simulations.
