testable hypotheses and direction of bias

Post by Luca Tiberti » Mon Jun 11, 2018 1:29 pm

Hi Paul, thanks for your presentation! I have a few comments I would like to share with you and your team:

- Which are the hypotheses and propositions drawn from the theoretical model and which are then tested empirically?
- The OLS, Tobit and GSEM give different results in terms of the magnitude. This is expected. But, to further validate them I would suggest you add some discussion on the direction of the difference (i.e., direction of the bias - upward or downward?) – is it expected? What can explain it? Etc.
- Minor comment: check the stats on off-farm (first row, Table 2). They seem wrong.
