New CBMS Initiative: Monitoring and Mitigating the Impact on Poverty of the Global Financial and Economic Crisis

The CBMS Network is supporting a new initiative entitled “Monitoring and Mitigating the Impact on Poverty of the Global Financial Crisis”. Although the global financial crisis originated in the US and spread to the European Union and some countries in Asia, the developing countries will not escape the adverse consequences. This project, therefore, aims to assess the impact of the crisis on poverty in selected developing countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Oceania.

CBMS - Philippines Announces the First Batch of Accredited National Trainers

The CBMS Network Coordinating Team  announced the first batch of accredited trainers for modules 1 to 4 in a simple ceremony held last October 24, 2008 at the Regalia Suites, Cubao Quezon City, Philippines. The first batch of accredited CBMS national trainers are from the central and regional offices of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
