PEP annual conferences and general meetings
The PEP Annual Conferences gather hundreds of participants – including development researchers and practitioners, eminent scholars, representatives of various donor/international organizations and policy makers/stakeholders – from around the world to discuss a variety of issues related to development policy research.
In line with PEP's core mission, these events present a unique opportunity for global networking, international peer-reviewing and capacity building, especially for developing country researchers.
As part of the Annual Conference, PEP hosts a public Policy Conference that elevates Southern-led evidence in high-level, forward-looking policy discussions with a global audience.

Policy Conferences
PEP’s Policy Conference is our flagship platform for high-level, forward-looking development policy dialogue.Held annually as part of the PEP Conference, it convenes policymakers, senior researchers, and practitioners to engage with Southern-led evidence and explore its implications for complex, real-world policy challenges.
Grounded in evidence but focused on systems and future pathways, the Policy Conference is designed to inform policy thinking beyond individual projects or contexts. By livestreaming the event and publishing its proceedings, PEP ensures that these discussions remain open, accessible, and useful to a broader community working to advance evidence-informed development policy.
