Recommended conferences

PEP researcher presenting at the IMF

International conferences are key events where researchers can increase their visibility and grow their networks.

PEP works to promote the participation of developing country researchers in international debates. As such, we encourage PEP researchers to attend and present at international conferences.

PEP also provides a limited number of grants to help researchers who have participated in a PEP-funded project present this research. We provide this support on a competitive basis, taking into account the quality of the research project, the reputation of the proposed international conference, and the co-funding obtained (from the researcher’s institution, the conference organizers or other sources).

There are many excellent international conferences. The list below provides some recommendations, based on their academic quality and policy outreach. We also invite you to suggest any other international conferences that may be of interest; please email PEP's Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator, Michael Murigi, at mec@pep-net.org.
