New CBMS Initiative: Monitoring and Mitigating the Impact on Poverty of the Global Financial and Economic Crisis

The CBMS Network is supporting a new initiative entitled “Monitoring and Mitigating the Impact on Poverty of the Global Financial Crisis”. Although the global financial crisis originated in the US and spread to the European Union and some countries in Asia, the developing countries will not escape the adverse consequences. This project, therefore, aims to assess the impact of the crisis on poverty in selected developing countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Oceania.
