The 2012 Centre for the Study of African Economies Conference on
Economic Development in Africa will be held at St Catherine's College,
Oxford, 18-20 March 2012.
Papers addressing economic analysis of the broad issues relevant for
economic development in Africa are invited.
We are planning sessions on key issues for African policy makers which
include how institutions impact on growth; health, growth and welfare;
employment in fragile states; the new jobs agenda; challenges for
macroeconomic policy management in Africa; and what can we learn from
the New Structural Economics?
Papers on any of these topic areas will be particularly welcome.
We would encourage the submission of papers on countries other than
those in Africa, especially if they cover any of the topics detailed above.
Please circulate this to anyone you feel may be interested.
