The Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) is looking for a consultant to work on qualitative analysis and survey support for a joint project with the Government of Chad and UNICEF-Chad called “Multidimensional Deprivation and Vulnerability in Chad”.
This research project consists of the implementation of a nationally representative survey in Chad during 2012. The survey is designed to explore behaviours and attitudes related to breastfeeding, hand washing and early marriage, as well as the missing dimensions of poverty data. Qualitative research is required in preparation for this survey. This qualitative work will influence the design phase of the survey, supply training for the survey team and provide crucial understandings of the missing dimensions in the context of Chad.

The position is full time for a period of three months and involves extensive travel to Chad. The consultant will perform qualitative work, including cognitive interviews and focus groups discussions.
