Proposed papers should tackle the use of the community-based monitoring system on any of the following topics:
1. Disaster Risk and Vulnerability Mapping and Assessment
2. Climate Change Adaptation
3. Impact-Monitoring and Evaluation of Poverty Reduction Strategies and Programs
4. Meeting the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)
5. Evidence-Based Planning and Budgeting
6. Improving Governance
7. Information Technology Innovations through CBMS
8. Social Protection and Inclusion
9. Women Empowerment
10. Promoting Children's Rights
Requirements for Application
1. Application is open for local government units who have completed at least 1 round of CBMS implementation and have used CBMS for any of the topics listed
2. Proponents are requested to submit a letter of intent together with a 1 page abstract of proposed presentation to the secretariat by February 24, 2012 . Abstract to contain:
3, Proponent must be able to commit to the deadline for submission of full conference paper to the Secretariat by March 1, 2012.
