Call for papers: European Meeting of the International Microsimulation Association

Dublin, May 17-19, 2012.

  



Teagasc - the "Irish Agriculture and Food Development Authority" - in association with IZA, UNICEF, National University of Ireland Maynooth and the EuroDym network, announces a call for papers to be submitted in the context of the forthcoming European meeting of the International Microsimulation Association. The meeting will be held in Dublin, May 17-19, 2012.

The conference is being run as part of the European City of Science, hosted by Dublin in 2012.

The conference call is open to all areas of microsimulation. In addition, the event will feature a series of workshops, focused on the following topics (with partner in brackets):

  • Labour Supply (IZA)
  • Spatial Microsimulation (NIRSA)
  • Farm and Rural Modelling (Teagasc)
  • Child Outcomes (UNICEF)
  • Dynamic Microsimulation (EuroDym)


Abstracts of about 250 words are requested, and shall be sent to Ursula.Colohan@teagasc.ie by February 3, 2012, at the latest. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by February 13th.

Also, please note that UNICEF will pay the travel costs for a applicant researcher from a low or middle income country with a microsimulation paper on child related issues to attend the conference
