PEP researchers will discuss Generating Local Level Statistics for More Informed Policymaking through the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) on October 20, 2020 at 11:00 am-12:15 pm UTC as part of the 2020 Virtual United Nations World Data Forum.
Join CBMS Research Director, Dr. Celia Reyes, PEP-CBMS researchers, and policymakers from the Philippines as they showcase and discuss the various applications of CBMS focusing on its uses for localizing the sustainable development goals, local planning and program implementation, and for Covid-19-related responses and interventions.
The UN World Data Forum brings together statistical experts and users from different professional backgrounds and corners of the world for three days of events. The forum aims to spur data innovation, mobilize high-level political and financial support for data, and build a pathway to better data for sustainable development. The CBMS session is organised under Thematic Area 3: Leaving no one behind.
The CBMS Network are hosting a virtual exhibit throughout the three days of the Forum. The CBMS exhibit showcases the implementation of CBMS in different countries as well as the various applications of CBMS for local governance, planning and budgeting, poverty mapping, multidimensional poverty analysis, and localizing the SDGs.
