The Canadian Development Economics Study Group (CDESG) invites submissions for sessions to be held during the 2019 Canadian Economics Association (CEA) Annual Conference that will be held May 30 to June 4, 2019, in Banff, Canada.
As in previous years, CDESG will award the Albert Berry Prize for the best Development Economics paper submitted by a junior (Ph.D. student or assistant professor) presenter to a CDESG session. If you are eligible and wish your paper to be considered, please indicate this when you submit your paper.
CDESG committee will pay particular attention to the papers looking at the link between trade and economic development, and youth employment. If you wish to organize a “research-to-policy” panel or focused thematic session on these or other themes, please note that CDESG can assist by helping to fund researchers from developing countries. Contact Franque Grimard (email@example.com) or Dane Rowlands (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have an idea for a panel or session.
Abstracts or complete papers (in English or French) must be submitted through the conference website by Friday, February 15, 2019.
For consideration in the CDESG sessions, please indicate this in the “Submitter’s Comments” section of the CEA meetings application.
For questions about this opportunity, please contact the organizers.
