METHODOLOGY WORKSHOPS CBMS and GRB January 9-13, 2006 Escalante City and EB Magalona Negros Occidental, Philippines The workshops were held at the Municipality of EB Magalona and the City of Escalante, Negros Occidental This workshop is aimed at facilitating the design and operationalization of a Community-Based Monitoring System that will assist in Government Planning and Budgeting Processes, particularly Local Level Gender Responsive Budgeting in select pilot areas in Negros Occidental. To achieve this, local level officials, LGU personnel engaged in budgeting and resource persons on the Community-based Monitoring System and Gender Responsive Budgeting will share their experiences, skills and ideas on how to make the CBMS and GRB initiatives complement each other. This workshop is organized by the CBMS Network Coordinating Team in cooperation with DAWN Foundation and the Local Governments of Enrique B. Magalona and Escalante City with the aid of a grant from the International Development Research Centre of Canada (IDRC-Canada).
