METHODOLOGY WORKSHOP ON INTEGRATION OF LOCAL LEVEL GENDER RESPONSIVE BUDGET AND COMMUNITY-BASED MONITORING SYSTEM
March 8 to 10, 2005 The workshop was held at the Angelo King International Center Malate, Manila, Philippines
The
workshop, being jointly organized by the International Development
Research Centre (IDRC)-Canada and the Angelo King Institute for Economic
and Business Studies through the CBMS Network Coordinating Team, seeks
to: (1)determine data requirements and gaps of LLGRB; (2)examine the
extent by which CBMS can address LLGRB data requirements and information
gaps; and (3) explore how LLGRB and CBMS processes can be integrated.
The 3-day
program for the workshop includes a briefing/orientation about the LLGRB
and CBMS related initiatives and a field visit to selected sites where
CBMS and LLGRB have been implemented in the Philippines, and a planning
for future activities and next steps for the proposed integration of
CBMS and GRB depending on the outcomes of the workshop.
